At the age of 52, Carol Gardner was divorced, depressed, and in debt. Therefore, she took a friend's advice and got a dog for companionship. Enter Zelda the English Bulldog, who enriched Carol's life but required more food than she could provide, prompting her to enter a local pet store's greeting card competition. The prize? A year's worth of doggy eats! Little did Carol know that when she won top honors, this spontaneous project would ultimately spawn a multi-million dollar greeting card company! And just like that, this "late bloomer's" life changed forever.

We love this story because so many people can relate to feeling lost at one of life's many crossroads. Carol's perseverance proves that it's never too late to make changes and turn things around, no matter how bleak your circumstances may seem! In fact, so many successful individuals don't find their "calling" until much later on. Our takeaway? No matter how old you are, it's never too late to start over and pursue something that truly makes you happy!

What did you think of Carol's unbelievable turnaround? Have you endured similar circumstances as a "late bloomer?" Sound off in the comments below and make sure to share if you found this video as inspirational as we did!
